The documentary 'Niet Mijn Schuld' portrays two former students abroad: Willemijn (24) and Pascal (35), illustrating the impact of a high student debt and the consequences of a passport blockade. Doodzwijgen
Screening: NFF 2023
Online: NPO 3LAB
A short documentary in which  filmmaker Lisa Hukker and her mother delve into recently opened archives to uncover the NSB (Dutch Nazi Party) past of their (great) grandfather. The emotional journey brings painful truths to light.
During WWII, those who were 'wrong' could sometimes take that (family) secret to the grave. Until now. Monique (56), mother of the documentary maker Lisa Hukker, can finally investigate the precise background of her tainted surname after a change in the law, now that the Central Archive for Special Jurisdiction is open. In this intimate documentary, mother and daughter confront the truth head-on. What do they discover about the NSB past of their (great) grandfather? Will they, as descendants, be judged again for the actions of an ancestor, eighty years later?

Director: Lisa Hukker
Camera: Thom Loohuis
Sound recording: Olivier Terpstra, Bram van Kaauwen & David Warringa

We don’t have to tell you why that is important. But we do want to show you why it is more sustainable to dance with us during DGTL rather than staying home.

De wonderlijke wereld van SaveryPublic screenings: Mauritshuis, Den Haag
8 februari - 20 mei 2024
He was a pioneer in many fields, and introduced several new themes to Dutch painting. He made the Netherlands’ first floral still life, and was the most notable painter of the legendary (extinct) dodo. He was also the first artist who went out into the streets to draw ordinary people. His painted landscapes are often like a fairytale, featuring ancient ruins and marvellous vistas. And his animal paintings include so many species that it would be an understatement to describe them as 'crowded'.
Roelant Savery's Wondrous World, featuring over 40 paintings and drawings, including works on loan from museums in the Netherlands and abroad, will introduce visitors to this highly versatile artist.

Borders  are an Imaginary Line
Public screenings: 14 june - 2 july 2023 - BAK Gallery, Utrecht
December 2022: Casco Gallery, Utrecht
Nominated for HKU award 2023
Borders Are an Imaginary Line is part of an ongoing collaboration between Meshkat Talebi and Olivier Terpstra that combines prose, moving image, soundscapes and music to create an immersive audio-visual installation. The process is gradual, it grows like a conversation and starts with a recording of Talebi reading a piece of her writing, perhaps accompanied by some moving image suggesting a time or a place. Terpstra responds with a soundscape, a gesture or an effect. The conversation grows, call and response, refine and revise. They create a space to share their dialogue and offer the personal as political in a bid to explore a complex and often divisive issue. Within the exhibition, the artists will endeavor to incorporate a live performance as well. Throughout the performance, the artists will address the possibility of personal memories emerging in the public realm and how they can be used to address, question, and criticize broader topics such as politics, nationality, mother tongue, and the imaginary lines between West and East. Talebi and Terpstra challenge themselves to enact their working process live, sharing their dialogue of personal narrative, embodied language, shared sonic spaces and gestures in a bid to activate language, body and memory together with the audience.
